How it used to be played

Play like you used to: five-a-side with your mates, every week. You went back to the same place, with the same people. Nobody won money. You won the argument until next Thursday.

A server was a place

Somebody paid for a machine, gave it a name and set the rules on it. You picked it off a list and went back to it because you liked it.

That is what a server is here. It has an owner, a name and regulars. Every war that finishes on it is written down.

A clan was your lot

A group of people who played together, with a name and a short tag. The tag went in front of the name, so you spotted each other.

Joining one is free. Most of them care more about turning up than about being good.

A ladder was one long table

Everyone who played, in order, all season. No tiers, no hidden number, no placement matches. You climb it by playing.

Here your place comes from the cash you earn in game. We count your best three wars a week, so one big night settles nothing.

A club night was a night out

One evening a week when everyone showed up at the same time. A server is no fun with four people on it.

Ours is Thursday. You say you are coming, and then you come.

What the words mean here

Season: the run we are in now. Season 1 ends when Season 2 lands.

Days played: one for every day you finish a full war. It never resets.

Rank: the name that goes with your days played. Nothing else changes it.

Not final for 24 hours: a war an admin can still check or throw out.
